Javier Mariscal , born in Peru, is an award-winning writer of short fiction, novels, children’s literature, and screenplays. Passionate about children’s literature, he believes in the power of humor and relatable characters to engage young readers. Influenced by his journalist mother, he values storytelling as a gateway to imagination. His work aims to inspire joy, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading. Daniel Blanco Pantoja , born in Chile, is a writer, illustrator, and editor. His work has been featured on the IBBY Honor List and theWhite Ravens list, and he has twice won the Colibrí-IBBY Chile Medal (2015, 2017). Enthusiastic about literature and illustration, he has taught workshops at major universities and book fairs. Since 2017, he has been a professor at the University of Chile. 9
